You don’t need to break the bank to get professional results. This Economy Duck-Jaw Brake Caliper Spreader offers the perfect balance of durability, leverage, and value. Designed for mechanics and DIYers who need a reliable tool for standard brake pad replacements, it features a robust high-carbon steel construction and a wide 0- 75 mm opening range to fit almost any vehicle.
Key Features:
Classic Duck-Jaw Leverage: The dual-arm “duck-jaw” design provides excellent mechanical advantage. By simply turning the T-handle, the arms expand evenly, compressing the caliper pistons smoothly without damaging the caliper housing.
Extra-Wide 0-75mm Range: With a maximum opening of 75mm (approx. 3 inches), this tool covers a wider range of applications than standard spreaders, making it suitable for everything from compact cars to larger SUVs and light trucks.
High-Carbon Steel Construction: Built from durable high-carbon steel, the main body and threaded rod are heat-treated to resist bending and wear, ensuring a long service life even with frequent use.
Versatile 12.5mm (1/2″) Drive Interface: The central hex head features a standard 12.5mm square drive hole. This allows you to use a standard 1/2-inch ratchet wrench or breaker bar for extra leverage on stubborn pistons, or use the included T-handle for manual control.
Lightweight & Compact: Weighing only 654g and measuring just 230mm in length, this tool is easy to store in any toolbox and maneuver into tight wheel wells.
Applications: An essential budget-friendly tool for home garages, student mechanics, and professional shops needing a reliable backup. Ideal for front and rear disc brake pad replacements on most domestic and import vehicles.
